Travel to Seychelles during COVID 19

Seychelles opens up to the world and now accepts travelers

The island destination of the Indian Ocean welcomes visitors from all over the world, regardless of their vaccination status, since 25 March 2021 .

Entry Requirements

All visitors entering Seychelles must either provide an official vaccination certificate with QR code proving full vaccination of at least 3 doses or present a negative PCR test no more than 72 hours before departure.
All visitors must have valid travel insurance that covers potential costs related to COVID-19 (isolation, quarantine and treatment).
the Seychelles government's « seychelles.govtas.com » platform to apply for a travel health authorization online. This health authorization is essential for the trip and will be requested at check-in. This authorization can only be made 5 days before departure on the seychelles.govtas.com website.
Visitors will not be permitted to board a flight without this clearance.

Health Travel Authorisation

A Health Travel Authorization (HTA) is required for every passenger entering Seychelles. Application for the (HTA), must be submitted for approval through the designated platform at: seychelles.govtas.com.

Visitors must submit the following with their application.

- Passport copy
- Negative PCR test certificate (In English or French)
- Return airfare
- Confirmed accommodation bookings for their entire stay
- Certificate of vaccination is an advantage

Arrival/Travel Tips

Visitors must comply with all airline protocols throughout their journey. Once landed in the Seychelles disembarkation will be done in an orderly manner. Face masks must be worn at all times within the airport terminals. Visitors will be subjected to a health check i.e., temperature screening, symptom checks, document checks etc. prior to border security screening. Random testing may be conducted upon arrival. Visitors with connecting domestic flights to other islands should remain in the airport terminals until the departure of their flight. They may overnight in a certified establishment if their connecting flight is the following day.

Accommodation

Seychelles offers visitors a plethora of accommodation options. Visitors must ensure that they stay in licensed and certified accommodation establishments or live aboard during their entire stay in the destination. The

PCR testing in Seychelles for departing visitors

PCR testing is not required routinely to depart Seychelles. However, your airline or final destination may require it. PCR test facilities are available on the three (3) main islands namely Mahe, Praslin and La Digue to visitors prior to departure.

Visitors requiring the test should contact the Public Health Authority at least a week in advance on the email address mailto:covid19test@health.gov.sc or telephone +248 4388410 to make the necessary arrangements.

The PCR test currently costs SCR 2500 (around 105€). Children below the age of 12 years and persons of 65 years and above are exempted from the fee.

Flights

Several airlines flies to the Seychelles, including Emirates, Ethiopian, Qatar, Edelweiss, Air Seychelles, Air Austral, Kenya Airways, Condor, British Airways and Air France.
