Praslin Vallee de Mai excursion - Praslin

This half-day tour you will makes you discover the natural reserve of the "Vallée de Mai", a UNESCO World Heritage Site and exceptional place where grows the famous and unique coco de mer ( double nuts). Covered with lush vegetation, this magical forest also harbors several species of endemic palms and the black parrot, one of the rarest birds in the world.

Considered the original " Garden of Eden ", the Vallée de Mai , home to the biggest nut in the world , Cocos de Mer.For centuries, this palm has remained unknown , except for his enormous seeds that are sometimes rejected on distant shores .Since no one knew where they came from , they called Coco de Mer (coconut of the sea) . The Vallée de Mai is also a haven for a community of plants and animals , some of which are unique to the reserve, as the black parrot , unique to Praslin .

The tour may be canceled or postponed depending on weather conditions.

Itinerary

09.15 : Customer Pickup hotels and transfer Vallée de Mai
09.45 : Arrive at the Vallée de Mai
09.50 : Guided tour of the Valley in May.
12.30 : Start of the Vallée de Mai and transfer to your respective hotels.
